“ just visited on a warm saturday tea time. very busy. ate in the restaurant. fish and chips freshly cooked and delicious. staff friendly. children welcomed. enjoyable experience ”
“ This is a very popular fish & chip shop, run by a local business-man. It is situated right next to Hollingworth Lake Country Park - therefore, parking can be difficult at times. There is the usual selection of 'CHIPPY' style food -but the fish is a real recommendation, as it is bought in regularly and always tastes really fresh. There is also, the facility to 'dine-in', although this obviously comes with an added price. Facilities are kept clean. Many people opt for a leisurely walk around 'The Lake' first, then choose to buy their food as take-away, and go and sit by the Lake & enjoy it in the fresh air. ...However, word of warning: watch out for all the ducks & geese - who will be keen to have a share!! If you are not full after, then you can also grab an ice-cream from the Parlour right next door to the fish & chip shop. ”
